Overview

CyberGuard Security is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how our iOS application handles your information when you use our services.

CyberGuard is available on the Apple App Store for iOS devices. It is built with a privacy-first approach — we do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the app's core functionality.

Information We Collect

CyberGuard collects minimal information solely to provide its core features:

  • URLs and email addresses you voluntarily submit for threat scanning
  • Scan history, stored locally on your device only
  • Passwords generated by the Password Tool, stored locally and never transmitted
  • App settings and preferences, stored locally on your device
  • Account information (display name and email) if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google
We do not collect your precise location, payment information, browsing history outside the app, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.
How We Use Your Information

Information you provide is used solely to deliver the app's features:

  • URLs and email content are sent to threat intelligence services for phishing and malware analysis
  • Scanned content is not retained on our servers after analysis is complete
  • Account information is stored securely to maintain your profile across sessions
  • No data is used for advertising, profiling, or marketing
  • No data is sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes
Local Storage

Scan history, generated passwords, and app preferences are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's standard local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

You may delete this data at any time by navigating to Settings → Clear History within the app, or by uninstalling the app from your device.

Data Retention

We do not retain any scanned URLs or email content on our servers. Analysis is performed in real time and submitted content is discarded immediately after the result is returned.

If you have an account, your profile information is stored securely and will be deleted permanently upon account deletion, which you can request at any time from within the app via Settings → Delete Account.

Third-Party Services

CyberGuard uses the following third-party services. None receive personally identifiable information — only the content required to perform their function.

URLhaus by abuse.ch

Google Safe Browsing

Security

All data transmitted between the app and external services is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use industry-standard security practices to protect any information that passes through our systems.
